Nothing but the Tooth: Considering sealants for adult teeth

Q. Been going to the same dentist for a few years. At my latest cleaning, he found a few sticky spots on two back teeth. He felt it was the beginning of decay and that if he put on plastic coatings (sealants) that would stop the decay. I am 65 years old and have not had a cavity in many years.
